Workers’ Compensation
We offer first aid for minor injuries such as lacerations, burns, and other traumas, adhering to California Labor Code guidelines. Employers can set up accounts with us to manage Workers’ Compensation claims. We deliver first aid and manage claims on a case-by-case basis for workers’ compensation needs. Employers are encouraged to contact our office at (530) 885-3951 for more information and to establish an account for treating your employees with first aid.
New Workers’ Compensation Claims
If you have sustained a new work-related injury, please reach out to your employer for guidance on filing a claim. A claim is considered truly new only if you have not previously sought medical treatment from another physician for the same injury. The sole exception to this rule is if you have visited an emergency room. We will treat patients for work-related claims after an emergency room visit, but only if our practice accepts your case.
If you have a new injury, have already contacted your employer to file a claim, and wish to receive treatment at Vista Complete Care, please call our Work Comp Department at (530) 885-3951 ext. 105.
Existing Workers’ Compensation Claims
If you have questions about the review process, please call our office to speak with Dr. Sewell or any of our Work Comp Coordinators at (530) 885-3951, ext. 105. Typically, our clinical team reviews medical records before accepting any existing work comp claims. Once your case has been reviewed and accepted, we will notify your adjuster or attorney about the change in your treating physician.
After receiving written confirmation that your treating physician has been changed to Vista Complete Care, we will schedule an appointment. Due to the complexities of work comp and the payment process, we are unable to examine patients for work-related injuries until we receive written authorization to do so.
